Frantz - Still With Us

Date: Fri, 31 May 2002

At your site on page http://home.earthlink.net/~goodspeeds/NITYGRIT.HTM it states that the "Franz" Oil Filter Company didn't survive.

"I'm not real sure why the company didn't survive. It may have been its distribution process or the failure of the public to accept it, but one thing is for sure, it worked.

Very truly yours,

Rod Leggett "

Could it be that it is spelled Frantz? http://www.wefilterit.com/frantz.html That company is still with us. I had a Frantz toilet paper oil filter on my 1983 Toyota pickup and drove it 260,000 miles with NO engine problems. Didn't even burn oil after 16 years. I finally gave up on the truck because of the rust.

Fred - Thanks for supplying the true spelling of Frantz. I have corrected the spelling in the other letters on my web site. It appears the Frantz filter is now being manufactured by an unnamed company at the web site you mentioned. I am skeptical that the additional filtration adds a measurable advantage. Too bad we don't have another '83 Toyota pickup without the Frantz oil filter to compare with. -Glenn.

Hi, my name is Deborah. I noticed that you make mention the Frantz Oil Cleaner/Filter on your web page and that someone has recently given you info of an "unnamed company" that is manufacturing the Frantz filters once again. My father was the owner and president of that company. The company name is "We Filter It!", and I recently took over the business due to his death last year. We have manufactured a new model of the Frantz filters and we are selling them. My web page address has changed slightly, so I would like to provide you with an update. If you have any questions, please let me know. Thank You!

Sincerely,

Deborah Walker Harley

Vice President
